Saving on Disney World Family Vacations is a challenge especially for families who are planning to go there for the first time. Disney World is one of the best places on earth as it offers the best of accommodations and rides – if you have the budget. If you’re not careful, you might end up spending hundreds or even a thousand of dollars more than you anticipate.
To survive your Disney World Family Vacations without having to spend too much, here are some practical tips:
1. Look for coupon online before booking – there are so many sites that offer coupons so that you’ll get automatic discounts in your hotel rates. Whether peak or off-season, there will always be a discount code to slash at least 10% of the hotel or even the package rate.
2. Go there during off season – Disney World doesn’t really have an “off-season” but there are months where there are lesser visitors. If possible go there during off-season. The hotels drop their prices considerably. Plus, Disney World is not as crowded as it is compared to peak season.
3. No Meal Tickets – There are three types of tickets in Disney World: the Flexible, Magic Your Way and Premium tickets. Flexible will give you the ability to visit one of the four theme parks. Magic Your Way is the same with meals and Premium is everything plus additional rides. Among the three, it’s always best to choose the Flexible Package. The meals that are usually added to the other ticket packages are just fast food and you’ll have no free choice on what you’ll eat. If you’re traveling with kids, they will always clamor for something different. You’ll also find yourself lining up just to get your free meal.
4. Hotel Location – I personally recommend research online but you should take it up the notch by calling the hotel of your choice and talk to them about the amenities. On site hotels, the ones that are within the Disney World premises are really expensive. Go for off site hotels that are near the Disney World. Although you might have to travel a little bit, it is way lower compared to on site hotels. The amenities are almost the same but the prices are lower.
Be smart about your Disney World Family Vacations. It’s always possible to spend less in a great vacation as long as you research and prepare for every activity.
